She holds a specialty in Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) and is an Approved DBR Practitioner and DBR-P Consultant in Training. (DBR is a body-based, neuroscience-informed trauma therapy.)

She also holds a speciality in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), is level two certified for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and has training in Mindfulness, Structural Dissociation theory, and the Finding Solid Ground Program.
Additionally, Nicole has completed the externship and advanced training for EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) which is a well researched and effective treatment modality to increase safety and connection in relationships and uses these skills to inform her work with individuals.
Nicole provides the opportunity to have a safe and supportive relationship to assist in creating meaningful change in your life. After years of training and practice, she has come to realize that this change must involve a deeper healing. As human beings, we experience challenges throughout our lives that can feel overwhelming and often traumatic. Without the support, skills, or resources in these times, we end up needing to develop short-term coping strategies that may be causing long-term problems.
Nicole uses a collaborative approach to identify what experiences and strategies are causing you distress and works with your system to help you to heal and feel whole again. This approach requires a commitment to work at a deep emotional and body level (not just cognitive) and a commitment to meet weekly or biweekly.
